A new AI company formally announced it's startup Wednesday in downtown Vincennes.
TerraForce is an ag tech company founded by CEO Michial Jacob which has been developing new farm automation.
He is a mechanical engineer who worked with the Ag Tech committee based at the Pantheon business incubator on creating an autonomous robotic harvester that will pick melons and help reduce labor costs for the producer.
It is hoped that one will be out in the fields by the end of 2025.
Local investors are involved in the financing.
Pantheon officials say that the new company is a product of ideas coming from it's role in supporting local entrepreneurs.
One of the members of the Ag Tech committee is local Lawrence County farmer Nicholous Bensen.
