The Marshall County Unity Gardens will host a planting day on Saturday, May 10th, at 9 a.m. The group will start at the Bread of Life Unity Gardens, 6770 North Michigan Street in Plymouth, then move to the Plymouth Unity Gardens at 1305 West Harrison Street. The goal is to plant the summer vegetable crops. The group is seeking around 15 community members to come out and help! No experience is necessary. All community members are welcome to help, and supplies will be provided. Volunteers should plan to bring comfortable clothing and shoes, sunscreen/hats, and water with them.
Plymouth Unity Garden and Bread of Life Unity Garden are also looking for water monitors from April 29 to May 7. If you have any questions or are interested in helping to water the gardens during this time frame or plant on May 10th, please contact Roy, Unity Gardens Coordinator, at royaleta@gmail.com or (574) 780-6294.
