Marshall County is once again partnering with the State of Indiana for another round of the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Project, offering a brief window for eligible homeowners to apply for critical home improvement grants.
The County plans to apply to the Indiana Office of Community & Rural Affairs (OCRA) this July to secure funding for the initiative. If awarded, the project will provide valuable grant assistance to low-to-moderate-income homeowners residing within Marshall County.
The grant funds are designed to help residents address major home repairs, accessibility needs, and safety improvements. Eligible projects under the program include roof replacements, exterior ADA upgrades, heating and cooling system replacements, electrical upgrades, and water heater replacements.
Officials are urging residents to act quickly to get their paperwork in, as there is only a short window to submit applications. The County is currently accepting applications from interested homeowners starting April 15th through May 15th.
Applications can be submitted at various locations throughout the County. To learn more about the program's eligibility requirements and to obtain an application packet, residents are encouraged to visit the Marshall County website at www.co.marshall.in.us and look under the "Recent News" section on the home page.
