Local generosity will now extend even further. Thanks to the eighth phase of Lilly Endowment Inc.’s Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow initiative, also known as GIFT VIII, all donations made to the Marshall County Community Funds will be matched at $2 for every $1 donated.
This incredible 2:1 match is part of a statewide effort by Lilly Endowment Inc. to strengthen Indiana communities through local foundation support. By tripling the impact of every donation, the GIFT VIII initiative helps ensure long-term sustainability for community-led initiatives and projects.
As a bonus, the Marshall County Community Foundation gives a 20% match of your gift to the MCCF endowment fund of your choice.
$1,000 (original donation) + $2,000 (2:1 match) + $200 (20% match) = $3,200 (total donation)
“This is a powerful opportunity for anyone who wants to invest in the future of our community,” said Linda Yoder, Executive Director of the Marshall County Community Foundation. “With every dollar matched two-to-one, donors can make a meaningful difference that will be felt for generations. To further support their generosity, the donor gets to choose where the 20% match goes from any endowment fund at MCCF.”
Funds raised and matched through this initiative will support flexible, local grantmaking to address current and emerging needs. Community members are encouraged to contribute by December 31, 2025, and take advantage of this unprecedented opportunity to “triple plus” their impact.
Match funding is awarded on a first come, first served basis. This offer ends when all match funds are claimed or on December 31, 2025, whichever comes first.
