The Lawrence County Soil and Water Conservation District (LCSWCD) hosted it's annual dinner meeting Tuesday night in Lawrenceville. Highlights of the evening were the district's annual individual awards. Named as Wildlife Manager of the Year was Gary Huber, Cale Griesmer the Conservationist of the Year and Wayne Johnson the Friend of the Soil and Water Conservation District. Three people were re-elected to terms on the board of directors by acclamation-Jon Buchanon, Chuck Daugherty and Ryan Crawford. Annual reports were also received from the National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Farm Service Agency (FSA). Lawrence County Resource Conservationist Kristie Cooley also issued her annual report of local activities.
