Officers from the Indiana State Police, the Fulton County Sheriff's Department, and the Rochester Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US 31 and County Road 450 N, in which a Michigan woman died.
About 4 p.m. Sunday, April A. Jones, 42, of Indianapolis, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro traveling southbound on US 31, approaching County Road 450 North. Evidence indicates the Camaro continued southbound into the intersection of CR 450 North, striking a 2016 Subaru Forrester turning southbound from CR 450 N. onto US 31.
The driver of the 2016 Subaru Forrester was identified as Donna M. Brucker, 84, of Norton Shores, MI. Despite life-saving measures, Brucker succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the crash scene by the Fulton County Coroner’s Office. Jones was transported via ambulance to a local Hospital in stable condition.
This is an ongoing investigation. At this time, neither the consumption of alcoholic beverages nor narcotics is suspected of contributing to this crash. Notification to the family has been made.
