Plymouth officers were busy this week, making two separate arrests for traffic and drug-related offenses.
First, on Tuesday evening around 6:15, patrolman Thornton spotted a vehicle traveling north on Michigan Street without its lights on. After initiating a traffic stop that pulled into Centennial Park, officers determined the driver, 24-year-old Aguirre Valente Emilio of Rochester, had never obtained a valid driver's license. He was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license.

Then, on Wednesday morning around 7:30, officer Allen conducted a traffic stop near Baker and Columbus Streets for several violations in a school zone. During the stop, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
A search revealed marijuana and paraphernalia belonging to the driver, 36-year-old Johnathan Stigler of Muckshaw Road in Plymouth. Stigler was taken into custody and faces charges of possession of marijuana with a prior conviction and possession of paraphernalia.
Both individuals were transported to the Marshall County Jail.
