Ava Muckerheide was crowned tennis sectional champion after winning her match May 26 at Center Grove High School.
The win advanced her in the IHSAA State Singles Tournament to Saturday’s regional round at Indianapolis North Central High School.
Four players will vie for the regional championship at that site.
At 10 a.m., Franklin Central’s Maren Paris will face Hagerstown’s Sophia Tinkle.
Simultaneously, Muckerheide, 17-2 this season as a junior, will face Jennings County senior Kaydence Lowman (16-3).
The regional championship match is set for 2 p.m.
