A 12-run second inning allowed Triton Central to cruise into the semifinal round of the Class 2A sectional tournament at Eastern Hancock.
The Tigers defeated Irvington Prep, 22-1, to set up a return trip to Charlottesville tonight for a semifinal round clash with Indianapolis Scecina (7-10).
Against the Ravens (4-9) Tuesday, Jalynn Keith had two hits, scored three runs and drove in three. Marissa Williams had three this and scored two runs.
Gabriella Hixson had a home run and three RBIs and Elly May finished with three RBIs.
Madi Peterson and Hailey Cooper combined for 11 strikeouts in the win.
In the other quarterfinal game Tuesday, Eastern Hancock shut out Heritage Christian, 12-0. The Royals (16-6) will face Christel House (8-9) in the first semifinal game Wednesday.

At the Indian Creek Sectional, the Woodmen scored four runs in the fourth and six more in the sixth to deliver the Golden Bears their seventh straight loss to finish the season.
Sara Weasner had two doubles, scored two runs and three RBIs to lead the Woodmen (20-6) into the sectional championship game.
Tessa Hammons allowed three hits and three walks over five innings to earn the win.
Gracie Crafton took the loss for Shelbyville (10-17).
Greenwood will face New Palestine, a 6-0 winner over Roncalli in the other semifinal game Tuesday, in Thursday’s championship game.
North Decatur 9, Morristown 1
At the Tri Sectional, Brooklyn White limited Morristown to three hits to lead the Chargers into the semifinal round.
Madison Rohls, Macie Leake, Carmen Thackery and Kendall Hostkoetter each had two hits for North Decatur (17-10).
Sawyer Rogers had two doubles and scored the only run for the Yellow Jackets (8-12).
North Decatur will face Waldron (5-14) in the semifinal round Thursday.

At Blue Bear Golf Club in Shelbyville, the visiting Spartans, led by Aiden Gibbs’ 39, spoiled Senior Night for the Golden Bears.
Logan Reinhart led Shelbyville with a 42. Wyatt Sharp followed with a 44. Completing the Golden Bears’ scorecard were Ethan Hughes (46), Logan Tobian (47) and Carter Dunagan (49).
