One of the top contributors to the success of the Lawrenceville basketball Indians in 2025-26 has announced his college plans.
Senior Zander Cessna this week said via social media he will continue his academic and athletic career as a Statesman at Lincoln Trail College (LTC) in Robinson, Illinois.
The 6-foot 150-pound point guard helped the Tribe to a 35-3 overall season record and a third-place finish at the IHSA Class 1A State Finals in Champaign in March. He averaged 12.5 points, 3.5 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 assists per game this past season and was named an Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) Class 1A Second Team All-State pick at guard and All Little Illini Conference (LIC) First Team guard. He also eclipsed 1000 points scored in his career in 2025-26.
