It was an outstanding week for Lawrenceville Special Olympics athlete Ryan Farrar.
On Tuesday, June 23rd, he medaled in four events during the powerlifting competition at the Special Olympics USA Games being held in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He captured the bronze in the squat, bronze in the bench press, bronze in the combination, and silver in the deadlift. This was against some of the top Special Olympics weightlifters from across the country as Farrar competed for Team Illinois.
The Special Olympics USA Games began on Saturday, June 20th and will conclude on Sunday, June 28th.
