Lawrenceville High School (LHS) hosted the 2026 Little Illini Conference (LIC) Track and Field championship meet Wednesday at Ed Loeb Field.
Congratulations to the Robinson Lady Maroons who won the girls title with 133 points and the Olney (Richland County) Tigers, who won the boys title for the second year in a row with 180 points.
The Lawrenceville Indian boys and girls squads competed in the 16-team affair and finished well back in the team standings. The Lady Indians had Ava Cessna finish 2nd in the shot put and Haven Sanders 4th in the high jump. The Indians had Stephen Killion place 3rd in the shot put.
Next up for the Indians is the Fairfield Invitational on Monday while the Lady Indians will prepare for the Class 1A Sectional meet at Newton next week.
