Brooklyn Carlton and Audrey Van Dyke each won two events Monday to lead Morristown to the Mid-Hoosier Conference track and field championship at Waldron.
The Yellow Jackets amassed 169 points to finish ahead of North Decatur (148), Hauser (90), Waldron (70), South Decatur (61) and Southwestern (8).
Carlton won the 300 hurdles in 50.24 seconds and tied for first place in the high jump (4-10).
Van Dyke secured first-place points in the 1,600 (6:16.61) and 3,200 (13:59.88).
Other individual event winners for Morristown were Sawyer Rogers (16.37 in 100 hurdles) and Anita Gesuale (1:03.67 in 400).
Morristown opened the event with a win in the 3,200 relay. Van Dyke, Brooke Kuhn, Chloe Theobald and Ava Smith completed the event in 11:20.45.
The Yellow Jackets also won the 400 relay with Rogers, Presley Willard, Smith and Adalynn Gentory in 56.44.

Waldron freshman Maleah Williams (photo) dominated the fields in winning the shot put and discus. Her winning throw in the shot put traveled 39 feet, seven inches. She won the discus with a throw of 142-9, which was farther than the best throw in the boys’ MHC meet.
Hauser captured the MHC championship in the boys’ meet. The Jets totaled 120 points to defeat Morristown (104), Waldron (100), North Decatur (93), Southwestern (81), South Decatur (66) and Edinburgh (4).
Waldron freshman Caige Sheaffer won the 100 hurdles in 16.78 and the 300 hurdles in 44.01.
Also for Waldron, Tad Crosby crossed the finish line first in the 400 (52.8) and Luke Myers had the best throw in the discus at 129 feet.
Morristown’s Arik Trattner won the 100 in 11.66 and the long jump with a best leap of 18-11.75.

Southwestern’s Mitchell Clements (photo) won the discus with a throw of 41-5.75.

Southwestern’s 400 relay team set a new school record while finishing runner-up Monday. Bruce O’Brien, Ethan Sipes, Landon Drake and Jake Sandefur clocked 45.88 to break the standing record of 45.9 set n 2011.
