The storybook season will continue for the Parkview 8th grade Lady basketball Braves.
Wednesday night, they won the Class 8-3A Sectional 6 championship at Teutopolis by beating Sullivan 25-21 to improve to 23-0.
The victory sends the squad to the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 8-3A state basketball finals to be played at Germantown Hills Middle School. Parkview will face 18-2 Lisle in the second quarterfinal of the tournament which begins Saturday, December 13th. Tipoff time is 11:30 a.m.
Quarterfinal winners will play in the semifinals also on Saturday, December 13th at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The semifinal winners will return to play for the Class 8-3A championship on Thursday, December 18th at 7:30 p.m. Semifinal losers will play for third at 6 p.m. that day.
