It was a successful end to the home regular season for both the Lawrenceville Varsity and Junior Varsity Basketball Indians Tuesday night. Each team won handily over the Carmi-White County Bulldogs. The Indians won their 7th straight game and improved to 24-3 overall with a Senior Night win 65-28. The Indians broke open a five point game with a 31-10 second quarter to pull away and never looked back. The highlights including the two Indian seniors achieving individual scoring honors for their careers-Bryant Jenkins passed 1500 points with a 24 point performance and Landon Sanders passed 1000 points with 18 to lead the Indian charge. Zander Cessna was also solid in the win with 16 points. The JV remained unbeaten at 18-0 with a 56-32 win over the Bulldogs paced by Noah Wilson with 17 points and Jacek Mickewicz 16. The Indians close up the regular and Little Illini Conference (LIC) seasons Friday night when they travel to Paris to meet the Tigers.
