IHSAA looking for officials INDIANAPOLIS - The IHSAA and High Schools throughout the State of Indiana are in need of officials to officiate athletic contests sponsored by the IHSAA. There is currently a huge shortage of officials in every sport sponsored by the IHSAA. This includes, baseball, basketball, cross country, football, gymnastics, soccer, softball, swimming, track, volleyball, and wrestling. If you have an interest in any or many of these sports, the IHSAA needs you. Schools are finding it more difficult each year to find officials to officiate high school sports. In order to become an official go to www.ihsaa.org. There is a blue bar going across the top of the website. Scroll over “Officials” and click on it. The instructions are there on how to become an official. All the testing is done on-line and the testing is “open book” with no time limit. If you need extended time to finish the test to become an official, that is no problem.
