The Lawrenceville basketball Indians keep rolling right along at the beginning of the season.
The Class A #2 ranked Tribe clamped down on defense in the second half Monday night and went on to beat the Dieterich Moving Maroons 49-34 in non-conference play at Lawrenceville.
The Indians led 12-11 after one quarter and 22-16 at the half. They held Dieterich to only 7 points in the third quarter to take control of the contest 35-23 and went on to record their 9th straight victory to start the year.
Two led the offense in double figures as both seniors Jayden Goff and Noah Wilson scored 11. Dieterich falls to 5-2 and were led in scoring by Brock Niemerg with 11 points.
The Indians return to conference play Friday as they stay at home and host the Marshall Lions.
