An officer with the Plymouth Police Department arrested a Walkerton woman on January 28th after he observed her disregard a red light at Michigan and Jefferson Streets.
At 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Corporal Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop after watching 35-year-old Felicia C. Appicelli disregard a traffic signal. The vehicle finally stopped for the officer’s traffic stop in the KFC parking lot located at the intersection of Michigan and Novelty Street.
Appicelli was believed to be intoxicated, and a chemical test was completed that showed her blood alcohol level to be .25, or more than 3 times the legal limit. Appicelli was lodged at the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of OWI with a BAC over .15 and OWI endangering as A misdemeanors.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
