Both the Vincennes Board of Works and Safety and the City Council met in session Monday evening at City Hall. The Board of Works accepted bids for some open street department surplus equipment and took them under the advisement of Superintendent Jeff Wood. Also accepted was the single bid of Hunger Skateparks for $450,000 for the building of a new skate park at Lester Square. The city of Vincennes also welcomed a new police officer to the force as Cody Jones was officially sworn in to the department by Mayor Joe Yochum.
