The United States Senate passed a resolution introduced by Senators Todd Young (R-Ind.) and Steve Daines (R-Mont.), along with other Senate colleagues, to establish April 19-27, 2025, as National Park Week. The resolution seeks to boost awareness of the value and availability of recreational areas while encouraging people across the country to spend time in America’s treasured national parks.
“Hoosiers are proud of the Indiana Dunes National Park, which serves as a great example of the vast landscapes, wildlife, and history that national parks offer throughout our country. During National Park Week, we celebrate the Indiana Dunes National Park and America’s great outdoors,” said Senator Young.
