Updated information has been released by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department regarding a fatal head-on collision Thursday morning.
A 2017 Chrysler Pacifica was westbound on CR 600 South. The sheriff's release says the Pacifica dropped off the edge of the north side of the road as it was meeting on oncoming eastbound Kenworth tanker truck. It appears the driver then came back up onto the road and into the path of the Kenworth.
The driver of the Pacifica was pronounced dead at the scene. A juvenile passenger from the Pacifica was transported to an Indianapolis hospital.
The Kenworth driver, Kevin Lain, 28, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The deceased name will need to be released by the Shelby County Coroner.
All involved in the crash are from Shelbyville.

The Shelby County Sheriff Department is working a fatal crash in southern Shelby County.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. today and involved two vehicles, according to a media release from the department.
A van with two passengers and a delivery truck with one person were involved in a heads-on crash at County Road 600S West and State Road 9 South.
One of the occupants of the van was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other person in the van was taken to an Indianapolis hospital.
The driver of the delivery truck was taken to Major Hospital in Shelbyville.
No other details were made available.
