The Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call of a fight that had occurred at a residence in the 16,000 block of 20B Road, Thursday at about 9:30 p.m.
Arriving county officers found that both offenders had battered each other during an argument at the residence. This resulted in apparent but minor injuries to both subjects involved.

Michael Obrien, age 62, and 42-year-old Dennis Cook, both of Culver, were detained at the scene and later transported to Saint Joseph Medical Center in Plymouth for medical treatment. They were later lodged at the Marshall County Jail for Domestic Battery resulting in moderate injury, as a level 6 felony with $1,500 cash bonds.

Formal charges are pending through the Marshall County Prosecutor's Office.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed, and there is only probable cause to believe that a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
