Three drivers arrested of operating without a license

Officer Fisher with the Plymouth Police Department arrested three individuals on Friday, March 22nd for driving without ever receiving a license.

At approximately 6:10 p.m., the officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Jefferson and Eight Streets for an illegal window tint. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver, Edwin Tovar Ortiz, 20, of Plymouth, had never obtained a driver's license. He was taken into custody, transported to Marshall County Jail, and booked in for operator never licensed.

At about 6:45 p.m., Officer Fisher conducted a second traffic stop at Jefferson and Beerenbrook Streets for illegal window tint. The driver, Marvin Colindres Hernandez of Adams Street in Plymouth, had never received a driver's license. He was booked in the County Jail for operator never licensed.

Officer Fisher stopped a vehicle at 2401 North Michigan Street, the Oak Ridge Village Mobile Home for a headlight out at 8:50 Friday night. It was determined that Jose Rivera-Pagoada of North Plum Street in Plymouth had never had a driver's license. He was also booked in jail for operator never licensed.

All three individuals were able to bond out within 90 minutes of their arrests.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
