Shipshewana Flea Market will extend its traditional weekly schedule for Labor Day, welcoming shoppers Monday, Sept. 7 through Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
The three-day Labor Day Market gives visitors an extra day to explore the Midwest’s Largest Flea Market, featuring 600+ vendor spaces across 40 acres. Shoppers will find everything from antiques, home décor and clothing to seasonal produce, handcrafted items, tools, collectibles, food and unexpected flea market finds.
This year’s Labor Day Market will also give visitors an opportunity to leave a permanent mark on Shipshewana as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration.
Throughout the three-day market, Shipshewana Trading Place will invite visitors to help create Patriot’s Flag, a 7-foot by 10-foot community mural that will eventually be permanently displayed on the Shipshewana Trading Place grounds.
Beginning at 9 a.m. each day, participants may check in at the Auction Barn Snack Bar and paint an individual mural tile. A total of 200 tiles will be available throughout the event while supplies last, and participation is free. Once completed, the individual pieces will become part of the larger Patriot’s Flag mural.
The project offers families, longtime flea market shoppers and first-time visitors a chance to contribute to a piece of public art commemorating both America’s milestone anniversary and the memories generations of visitors have made in Shipshewana.
The Shipshewana Labor Day Flea Market is open rain or shine from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sept. 7–9. General parking is $5 per vehicle. Food courts, a sit-down restaurant, rest areas and scooter rentals are available.
