State Senator Ryan Mishler (R-Bremen) welcomed Plymouth resident and Plymouth High School student Gage Birchmeier to the Statehouse to serve as a Senate page in February.
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor, and interacting with their state senator.
"The Senate Page Program is a great opportunity for young Hoosiers to learn and be involved in state government," Mishler said. "I always look forward to meeting students like Gage who have taken the time to visit the Statehouse."
Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays. To learn more about the Senate Page Program, visit www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/page-program.
