The Randolph Street Bridge in Centennial Park is prepared for the Blueberry Festival. On Monday afternoon, Mayor Listenberger’s office issued a public statement regarding the bridge and festival access.
The Randolph Street Bridge will open for festival activities at noon on Thursday, August 28th. Access will be provided to vendors, trolleys, emergency responders, and pedestrians to support the event.
This milestone was achieved through the hard work and dedication of LaPorte Construction, USI, E&B Paving, and other partners working together. Their efforts have ensured the Randolph Street Bridge will be open for this occasion.
For safety and compliance, general public vehicle traffic is not allowed. The bridge will be monitored to ensure these restrictions are adhered to.
As previously committed, the bridge is being made available to support the festival. While federal regulations prevent full public access, special provisions allow its use for this specific purpose.
We kindly request the community’s cooperation and understanding. Working together will help ensure the festival runs smoothly, safely, and successfully for all participants and visitors.
