The American Red Cross encourages donors to boost their impact by giving blood or platelets this November. The last two months of the year can be challenging for many donors trying to balance regular donation appointments with busy schedules filled with seasonal activities and holiday plans. Donors of all blood types − especially those with types O negative, O positive, and B negative blood, as well as platelet donors − are urged to schedule an appointment to donate now.
We’re partnering with Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. to celebrate the 45th anniversary of PAC-MAN™, the iconic video game character. Everyone who donates blood from Nov. 17 to Dec. 7, 2025, will receive an exclusive pair of Red Cross x PAC-MAN socks, while supplies last. Those who donate blood or platelets during this period can also get a custom Red Cross x PAC-MAN GASHAPON®, while stocks last. These collectible items are limited, so donors are encouraged to act quickly! Visit RedCrossBlood.org/PACMAN for more details.
Join the PAC. Reserve your spot to give blood or platelets by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or calling 1-800-RED CROSS.
The Red Cross is experiencing a decline in donor turnout this fall – a crucial time for scheduling and maintaining appointments to ensure enough lifesaving blood supplies for the holidays. More donors are needed to keep the blood supply stable. To motivate and inform our donors, in November, successful blood donations will include free A1C testing, commonly used to screen for prediabetes and diabetes. (One test result per 12-month period; fasting is not required before donating). Visit RedCrossBlood.org/diabetes for more details.
