For several months, Officer Vinson with the Plymouth Police Department and his partner K-9 Castor have been conducting periodic K-9 drug searches at the Plymouth Library at the library staff's request.
These searches performed have been to check for any narcotics that may have been left behind or hidden in the library.
The library staff has also allowed the K-9 unit and Plymouth police officers to use the facility for training.
Police Chief John Weir said his department will continue with the periodic searches as part of their ongoing commitment to keep public facilities safe in Plymouth.
