On Thursday, September 3rd, officers with the Plymouth Police Department arrested a 22-year-old man accused of impersonating a police officer in an attempt to contact someone who had cut off communication with him, according to department reports.
Officers were notified that Blake Bradley, 22, listed as homeless in Plymouth, had allegedly impersonated an officer with the Plymouth Police Department. The complainant reported receiving a voicemail from someone claiming to be an officer and requesting an immediate callback. When the complainant returned the call, Bradley reportedly answered the phone.
Following an investigation, officers determined that Bradley had allegedly impersonated an officer in an effort to contact the complainant, who had previously ended communication with him.
Bradley was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on a charge of impersonating a public servant.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
