On Monday, February 20th (2023) at about 3:20 in the afternoon Officer Ayala with the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to 112 West Jefferson Street, the Marshall County Probation Department for a client with warrants. 32-year-old Jonathan Sanders of Monterey had two active warrants through Marshall County. Sanders was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail.
On Wednesday, February 22nd (2023) Marshall County Central Dispatch was advised of a male who had an active warrant staying at the Economy Inn on North Michigan Street in Plymouth.
Officer Ayala was dispatched to the Economy Inn at 6:30 p.m. and located 47-year-old Rodney Stubbs of Knox who was taken into custody for an active warrant. 38-year-old Stephanie Sims of Rochester was also taken into custody. Both subjects were transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Rodney Stubbs was booked for an active warrant for Failure to Appear on an OWI offense. Stephanie Sims was booked for Obstruction of Justice and False Informing.
Due to the warrant, Rodney did not have a bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
