Luke James Moody, 42, was arrested in connection to a domestic disturbance in Mansfield October 15th.
The recently hired superintendent of the Parke County Highway Department, has been placed on administrative leave following his arrest on October 15.
Luke James Moody, 42, was arrested alongside Chandler J. Moody, 22, in connection to a domestic disturbance in Mansfield.
According to a statement from the Parke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene and arrested both men on charges related to domestic battery. Moody faces additional charges of criminal recklessness involving a deadly weapon. Both individuals remain in the Parke County Jail without bond.
The Parke County Board of Commissioners, which hired Luke Moody in June 2024, has confirmed that Moody is on administrative leave while the incident is under investigation. “A decision will be made once we have all of the information we need,” the commissioners said in an official statement.
