On Monday, January 20th, at about 12:45 in the afternoon, the officer conducted a traffic stop at North Michigan and Elliot Streets, resulting in the arrest of Jesus Matute.
Fifty-six-year-old Jesus Matute of West Harrison Street was booked into the Marshall County Jail for operating without a license with a prior at 1:30. He was released on bond at 3:50 that afternoon.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to representation by counsel and to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be rendered.
