Indiana State Police Master Trooper Weston Shanks has reached 15 years of distinguished service.
A proud native of Gas City, Shanks graduated from Mississinewa Junior/Senior High School before earning his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Ball State University.
After graduating from the 70th ISP Recruit School, Master Trooper Shanks was assigned to patrol duties at the Peru Post. During his tenure, he has served in numerous specialized roles, including as a member of the Meth Suppression Team, Field Training Officer (FTO), Tac Med Instructor, Background Investigator, Traffic Incident Management Coordinator, URASE Coordinator, and Firearms Instructor.
Shanks lives in Gas City with his wife and three young children.
