The Marshall County Soil & Water Conservation District is bringing an important conversation about the future of farming and food to the big screen this month. In partnership with The REES Theatre, the district is presenting a free screening of the acclaimed documentary Common Ground on Thursday, July 16th at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Incredible Indiana Summer Film Series.
Common Ground is a follow-up to the widely praised documentary Kiss the Ground and takes audiences deeper into the growing regenerative agriculture movement. The film features farmers, ranchers, scientists, educators, and community advocates exploring how healthy soil can transform food systems, strengthen local economies, restore the environment, and build a more sustainable future. It is an ultimately hopeful film — one that shows how individuals and communities working together can make a real and lasting difference on the land and beyond.
