Travis Owen, a 4th-year medical student at IU School of Medicine, is originally from Marshall County and graduated from Plymouth High School. He is researching barriers to prenatal care in Northern Rural Indiana and wants to hear from community members about their experiences.
Through the Marshall County Health Department, Owen is seeking participants for a research study on pregnancy and prenatal healthcare in the county.
If you are between the ages of 18 and 40, living in Marshall County, and are pregnant, previously pregnant, or considering becoming pregnant, the Marshall County Health Department would like you to participate in the research study.
The benefits for participants include helping to improve our county’s prenatal care by sharing personal experiences and increasing awareness of local barriers to healthcare for pregnant individuals.
Participation in the study is voluntary, confidential, and no personal identifiable information is collected. The study only takes about five minutes to complete.
For more information or questions, please get in touch with Travis Owen at tmowen@iu.edu or the Marshall County Health Department at 574-935-8565.
