Marshall County Genealogist Anita Watts Kopetski has once again been honored with the Indiana Genealogical Society's annual Genealogy Writing Award — also known as the Elaine Spires Smith Family History Writing Award — making it three consecutive years she has taken home the statewide recognition.
The Indiana Genealogical Society presents the award annually to authors of outstanding feature articles about Indiana-related genealogy published the previous year. Kopetski's third straight win is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the quality and consistency of her work in the field. In addition to her award-winning articles, she also contributes regularly to the Marshall County Historical Society's blog.
Kopetski is available for genealogy research assistance at the Marshall County Historical Society & Museum, located at 123 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth, most Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Those interested in scheduling an appointment or learning more can call the Historical Society at 574-936-2306.
