Lawrence County travelers are reminded to continue to use caution.
Both the Lawrence County Sheriffs Department (LCSD) and the Lawrence County Highway Department report that many roads remain snow covered and slick, especially in rural areas.
Main traffic roads are in good driving condition, but country main roads, side streets and alleys remain hazardous in some locations.
Preliminary reports by the National Weather Service (NWS) indicate that snowfall here in Lawrence and surrounding counties ranged from 7 to 8 inches, depending on location.
The NWS also is forecasting much colder temperatures over the region for the next several days with overnight wind chills falling into the single digits.
