TERRE HAUTE, Indiana (DLC Media) - Terre Haute Police pursued two vehicles which were traveling at a high rate of speed. Both vehicles were witnessed going airborne. Police then attempted to stop the two vehicle but they were unsuccessful. A pursuit began on S. 7th street and one of the vehicles was caught after it experienced a mechanical failure._x000D_ _x000D_ Two juveniles fled the vehicle on foot and officers were able to catch one. The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 12 year old who had recently participated in stealing the vehicle._x000D_ _x000D_ Following the incident THPD released a community advisory which said "KIA vehicles are increasingly targeted due to the ease of manipulating their ignition systems." The THPD also advised that vehicle owners make sure that their vehicle is locked at all times.
