Rochester Downtown Partnership has announced the appointment of Julie Shambarger as its new part-time executive director.
Shambarger brings a wealth of experience from her past with non-profit management, economic development, and community organization to the table for RDP, a Main Street non-profit organization that's dedicated to the revitalization of Rochester's historic downtown district.
Also working as Executive Director of The Times Theater, Shambarger's vision and dedication guided the theater's extensive renovation. The Times Theater has since become a focal point for the community since its opening on February 14, 2023.
Shambarger said her newest position with RDP is something that has been quietly discussed for the past year. She said her position as RDP Executive Director became official last week. Shambarger said she is honored to be able to join the RDP team and contribute in the growth and success of Rochester's downtown.
Shambarger hopes to extend her vision of community collaberation and enthusiasm to put downtown Rochester on the map as a unique 'go to destination' that both visitors and locals will enjoy even more in the future.
Her new part-time role reflects RDP's commitment to flexible work arrangements, allowing Shambarger to dedicate her time to both vital organizations.
RDP has three active committees. The organization is currently seeking additional dedicated volunteers and donations. All donations to the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization may be tax deductible.
