A change of venue has been requested in a Vincennes murder case.
Attorneys for 30-year-old Dylan A. Smith of Vincennes have filed for the change of venue. Smith is accused of the murder of Taylor Hendershot of Vincennes on August 5.
On August 6, Smith plead not guilty to the count of murder and is currently being held without bond in the Knox County Jail.
According to court records, the change of venue was filed on Monday of this week. Smith's attorneys also filed for an insanity defense.
Smith is currently set for trial on November 4 in Knox County.
