The report of an unwanted guest on April 6 resulted in a Plymouth woman being jailed in Marshall County for an altered license plate, possession of marijuana, and fraud.
About 2:20 p.m. Sunday, the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center issued a broadcast report of an unwanted guest at the residence of 14984 11th Road.
During an investigation, Officer Truty discovered that one of the parties involved Janell R Geren, 49, of the Red Rock Inn, was in possession of marijuana. Additional evidence collected during the investigation led the officer to discover an altered license plate and items indicative of credit card fraud.
Geren was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for possession of marijuana, operating a vehicle with an altered license plate, and credit card fraud. Her cash bond was set at $1,500.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
