The Shelby County Emergency Management Agency and Local Emergency Planning Committee will be conducting a full scale exercise on Thursday.
This exercise will test and evaluate Shelby County's ability to respond to a Hazardous Material Incident. There will be numerous emergency vehicles in and around Blue River Memorial Park, 725 Lee Blvd., the day of the exercise.
Director of Shelby County Emergency Management Denis Ratekin.
Ratekin says they aren't releasing all details of the scenario ahead of Thursday.
Please exercise caution if traveling in that area.
This training is designed to test and improve the community’s preparedness for emergencies. You may see emergency vehicles, firefighters in full gear, hazardous materials teams, and mock victims as part of this exercise.
