If you've got old or unwanted pesticides sitting in your barn, storage shed, or warehouse — listen up. There's a free disposal program coming to Fulton County, and it could save you time, money, and a lot of hassle.

The 2026 OISC Clean Sweep Pesticide Disposal Program, sponsored by the Office of Indiana State Chemist, is making a stop in Rochester. The event runs from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. at Nutrien Ag, located at 7901 South 100 West in Rochester.

The program accepts just about any pesticide product you might have on hand — herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides, miticides, and more. Whether the containers are open, unopened, suspended, canceled, or just something you no longer need — they're eligible for drop-off.

Here's the best part: disposal is completely free for up to 300 pounds per participant. If you're over 300 pounds, there's a charge of just $3 per pound.

Farmers, schools, golf courses, nurseries, local businesses, municipalities, and county government units are all welcome to take part.

To participate, you'll need to fill out a Clean Sweep Pesticide Disposal Participant Form and get it submitted by Friday, August 7th. You can fax it to 765-494-4331 or email it to www.cleansweep@groups.purdue.edu

On collection day, make sure your containers are leak-free and safe to transport. Do not mix materials and remember empty containers will not be accepted.

Questions? Call the Office of Indiana State Chemist at 765-494-1492.

This is a great chance to safely and legally clean out your chemical storage before the season gets underway.
