Units of the Christy Fire Protection District were called out late last week to a residential structure fire in the city of Sumner.
Firefighters responded Friday night to the fire location at Dubois and Pine Streets and arrived to find the home fully involved. Reports indicate the home was totally destroyed. No one was at home at the time the blaze broke out. Investigation is continuing and an official cause has not been given. There were no reported injuries.
The Lawrence-Allison Fire Protection District responded to the scene in mutual aid along with personnel from the Bridgeport and Denison Fire Protection Districts.
