The Fulton County Economic Development Corporation (FEDCO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mikie Stogsdill as its new Executive Director.
Stogsdill officially began her new role on Monday.
Stogsdill brings experience in economic development, organizational leadership, business development, and community engagement to FEDCO. She most recently served as Executive Director of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation, where she worked closely with the board of directors to guide organizational strategy, managed budgets and financial resources, cultivated relationships with donors and elected officials, and led initiatives focused on local business growth and job creation.
Her background also includes serving as a field representative for the U.S. House of Representatives, where she worked directly with constituents and community stakeholders to address concerns and build relationships. In addition, Stogsdill has experience as a small business owner and has pursued professional development through the Indiana Communities Institute at Ball State University, the Ambassador Institute for Civic Engagement, and the Kosciusko Leadership Academy, where she received the Northenor Award.
“We are excited to welcome Mikie to FEDCO and look forward to the experience, energy, and fresh perspective she will bring to Fulton County,” said Mark McCall, President of the FEDCO Board of Directors. “Her background in economic development, along with her experience building relationships with businesses, community leaders, and other stakeholders, makes her a strong addition to our organization. We look forward to working with her as we continue strengthening our local economy and creating opportunities for Fulton County.”
As Executive Director, Stogsdill will lead FEDCO's efforts to support economic growth, strengthen relationships with existing businesses, pursue new business and investment opportunities, and advance initiatives that contribute to the long-term vitality of Fulton County.
“I'm excited for the opportunity to join FEDCO and be part of the continued growth and development of Fulton County,” said Stogsdill. “Economic development is about building relationships, supporting existing businesses, attracting new opportunities, and helping create a strong future for our communities. I'm looking forward to getting to know the people and businesses that make Fulton County special and working together to build on the county's strengths.”
