Officials report that a minor earth tremor occurred early Monday morning.
It was located near the Indiana-Illinois border in Knox County Indiana northeast of Mt Carmel, Illinois.
The tremor was recorded at around 2:15 a.m. ET and measured 2.4 on the Richter scale.
The Indiana Geological and Water Survey says there has been no damage reported.
The region is prone to seismic tremors due to it's location on the New Madrid fault line.
