Officer Fisher with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after running the license plate, which indicated that the owner had a prior Driving While Suspended charge. The officer confirmed that the driver was the registered owner by checking the BMV photo and initiating the vehicle's traffic stop.
The driver, 65-year-old Dennis Harrell of Elm Street in Plymouth, pulled into the Duke of Oil Car Wash parking lot and was taken into custody for driving while suspended with a previous charge and for driving with no insurance and a prior conviction. Harrell was transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was booked and given a court date and bond.

Corporal McIntyre stopped 21-year-old Marbin Paguada Barralaga of West Adams Street for a traffic violation at Michigan and Jefferson Streets on Saturday, May 3rd at 1:30 in the afternoon.
During the investigation, the temporary license plate on the car was found to be fraudulent. Furthermore, the driver did not have a valid license and had never received one.
Barralaga was taken into custody without incident, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and turned over to jail staff for the booking process.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
