Take Down Tobacco National Day of Action Youth in Marshall County will join the nationwide movement calling out the tobacco industry for gambling with their lives.
On March 31st Bremen VOICE is participating in Take Down Tobacco National Day of Action, a nationwide movement to stand up and speak out against the tobacco industry organized by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. This year, youth advocates across the country are hosting demonstrations, rallies, and educational events to call out the biggest joker of all: Big Tobacco.
For far too long, the tobacco industry has targeted youth and vulnerable groups with tobacco products, leading to addiction, disease, and death in our community. Now, they’re trying to fool Gen-Z into their cycle of addiction with flavored products, potent doses of nicotine, and misinformation that they have changed their ways and are no longer the bad guys. That’s why Bremen VOICE and youth in Marshall County are calling out these jokers and joining the nationwide movement to #TakeDownTobacco.
In addition to in-person events across the country, Take Down Tobacco is launching a digital game of “Joker Takedown” – an online game that educates and motivates youth across the country to expose, document, advocate and pledge to take down Big Tobacco.
Organized by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, Take Down Tobacco empowers youth to create change in their schools, communities, and states and help achieve the first tobacco-free generation.
