The Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL) has announced the 2025 prevailing wage rates for construction trades for all counties, including Lawrence, in the state.
The updated rates took effect this week under the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act which requires that workers on publicly funded construction and infrastructure projects be paid wages consistent with local standards helping ensure that taxpayer dollars stay in the Illinois economy.
Each June, the IDOL determines the prevailing wage through a compensation review method.
