The Shelbyville High School boys wrestling team has been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athletes of the Week.
The Golden Bears competed in the annual two-day Spartan Classic at Connersville High School over the weekend. An Exemplary Behavior Report was filed on the team's behalf.
"Well-ran wrestling two-day individual tournament. All (Shelbyville) wrestlers and coaches exhibited outstanding sportsmanship throughout the event," the report said.
Shelbyville is back in action Jan. 9 at William L. Garrett Gymnasium against county-rival Triton Central. The dual meet will begin at 6 p.m.
